5/8" Hoses are a great mix of contractor flow, and home use handling. A 5/8ths inch hose will pump out about 17 gallons per minute (GPM). These hoses are better at holding pressure in longer hoses then a 1/2" hose. It is a fact that the smaller the diameter of the hose, the more it will loose pressure over longer distances. These hoses would be great for watering plants or hooking up to sprinklers.
